but i think, if ever, ABS would try to bring TW groups here coz they’re easier to be invited here (they used to that here diba nung popular pa ang TW series) than the Japanese groups. I mean Arashi, with their very busy schedule!
And to think, Arashi’s next album is about to go to the market pero there’s no news yet on which countries they would go to promote it, if ever they would do it again that way, unlike what they did with Arashic.
But I’m with you in PRAYING FOR ARASHI TO COME TO THE PHILIPPINES!

dubbing…. lol, my grandma watches a soapopera/novela in spanish and one time i was watching it and i couldn’t figure out whyyyy the voices didn’t match the characters at all and then i ask my grandma about it and she’s like, it’s a novela from brazil… i’m like, ohhhh, ok, the original audio is in portugues…. lol. took me a while to realize it.
yeah, i don’t like dubbing at all, it drives me crazy! lol. but still, pretty cool that they do that over there.

i’m not really a fan of DUBBED dramas, but if ever Arashi’s dramas would be shown in local TV, I would support it (maybe by blogging *or rather raving* about it, much like what I did to Hana Kimi) so ARASHI’s popularity would increase and they’ll finally come here!

@ Vero dubbing here is not that perfect but is nice .. like Toma’s voice in Hana kimi.. the dubber’s voice perfectly matched Nakatsu’s attitude!!

On dubbing dramas.. most Filipinos would say na mas magaling daw mag dub ang ABS.. though I cannot tell anyway dahil d ako nanunod ng ABS eh!!

I feel selfish for saying this, but I don’t want Arashi to become the next F4. F4 fandom here in the philippines was so shallow and ignorant a few years ago and it really pissed me off.

and i’m also questioning as to why most of the drama’s there are Arashi dramas. It’s as if it was a ploy by an Arashi-centric fangirl over at the forums
because usually, these are the dramas that Arashi fangirls start out with, before diving in deeper into the JE fandom, what I call warm-up dramas. And yes, nobuta and nodame are also warm-up dramas.
So yes, looks more like a newbie arashi fangirl trying to stir up commotion rather than a real GMA-ABS project, but who knows.
I’m not doubting the Kimi wa Petto thing though – last year pa ata un pinag-usapan eh.

I’m tired of ABS pointedly ignoring jdoramas for their Taiwanese/Korean ones.
But why are the dramas mostly Matsujun centric? Why don’t they show stuff from other JE groups, too? (Of course, if this rumored list were true, that is)

perhaps i must really sound selfish but NOT even in my wildest dream would i want arashi to have a concert in manila. i’m even thankful that despite showing gokusen, HYD & HYD2 here, jun’s popularity didn’t shoot up, much more arashi’s.
why? simply because i don’t want to happen to arashi what happened to F4 before. don’t want them to become suddenly megapopular then just be dropped like hot potato later on. i don’t even want to think of seeing my beloved boys’s faces on the streets as if they’re sold by the dozen.
arashi’s fast-gaining popularity around the globe right now is incredible. but i’m hoping that if in case they’d become well-known in the philippines, it’s not due to exaggerated promotions for fat profits but because fans want to slowly know them. bit by bit, step by step. day after day.
coz these boys are beyond the characters they play. it’s beyond domyouji-sama or bambi or ippei-kun.
one have to first know them & immerse one’s self in the fandom before actually loving them. one have to first understand that they are 5 extraordinarily talented boys not to be taken for granted. they worked their way to the top for 9 excruciatingly difficult years and they deserve to be treated with high respect and warm, genuine love. and definitely not just some cheap merchandise that would rake in money for anyone who takes advantage.

p.s. it worries though (if these would all push thru) that most of sho-chan’s series are ABS. coz we all know how good ABS promotes their talents. だめ! >.<

anyways, I think for F4, it’s already impossible since they are slated to have their Japan Tour by October 2008 and I think after that they will disband already since a member of the group is planning to get married already.
With Fahrenheit and SHE, the fandom people is not yet enough…
With Arashi, I think it’s still vague. But you know, being geographically near Japan may do a lot of wonders, haha
